She lifts her skirt
and my hymn begins.
Our holy harmony
sings itself in lips, thighs
and blessed hips.
We hum our doxology
with eyes closed
feeling the divine
in the slow rhythm
of our sacred sex.
“Sweet Jesus,” she croons.
I bow my head
and whisper, “Hallelujah.”
