The Team

Betsy Brown is editor-in-chief of THE MINSTREL and president of the Write-Handed poetry club at the King's College. In her spare time she enjoys performing Bob Dylan songs in the subway with guitar and harmonica, watching airplanes in Riverside Park with two-year-olds, and taking over the world with her beloved Harry Potter-esque House of Sojourner Truth.

Cate Gerold is layout designer of THE MINSTREL and an alum of the King's College. She is way cool because she currently lives in a houseboat in the heart of the American South. A lover of literature, painting, and drawing, Cate is an expert of all things Disney. I've heard she's also an assassin in her spare time.

 Rachel Deal is the art editor of THE MINSTREL and also draws whimsical little mandolins that grace the inside pages of Issue 1. She has several children who are very dear to her, including a Canon Rebel camera, a flute, and a laptop that has survived the most perilous of situations. It has been said that she could successfully psychoanalyze anything from college freshmen to a brick wall. I believe it.

 Bianca Caraza is the assistant editor of THE MINSTREL and the biggest fan of Oscar Wilde I know. Hailing all the way from the lovely land of Southern California, she would love it if you gave her a vicious but sweet fox named Keebles so she could take it on her chicken coop raids. Once she wrote 71,920 words in three weeks. All I have to say is WOW.
